The Piper Transport is a celebration of a little mixed terrier, Peppi now Piper, who came up from West Virginia on the Cleo Transport two years ago. Piper is a wonderful example of the awesomeness of rescues. She has brought in endless joy, companionship, and taught her family that sometimes a rescue saves you. This little homeless dog was 3 days from being euthanized. Corky was born about July 15, 2017 and will likely top out in the 45 lb. range, but we are truly guessing at breed and ultimate size. This guy is ADORABLE! He is happy, friendly, and did we mention cute? His fur is rather unusual for the two breeds we are guessing, it's a rather dense, soft, kind of fur that we can't fathom what breed that came from, but his fur is fun to put your cold fingers in and we want to let you know he is likely going to be a rather heavy shedder. He is just delighted with the other dogs and we feel he will be happier with another dog friend in his new home. Corky was in a foster home with kids and was fine. We'll be learning more as we go and so will you. The southern shelter staff feels it is embarrassing to ask the person dropping off their pets as the reason is so often financial. Here's an update!: If you are looking for a lovely dog to sit at your feet Corky is not the one for you! This boy is MASSIVELY loving! He will be laying across your shoulders as he sniffs your ears and nuzzles all throughout your hair. He will be in your face, in your lap, and if he could he would get inside of you to be even closer! His antics are hysterical if you appreciate this personality and this much closeness - lots of closeness!
